Leonland - Leon Barnard

Chapter 5 > Year One

My first year of grad school I lived in a graduate and international student dorm on campus. I had some very cool roommates who became like family. I didn't have a car so I spent a lot of time on campus or wherever I could get to on the MARTA. The school part of my life was just OK, I struggled a little in adjusting to life as a graduate research assistant. I traveled to New York often to visit my girlfriend, which livened things up when school got me down.

9/25/02: My first invention of the semester.

10/15/02: So nice to be back in New York. This is the view from the roof of the Met.

11/9/02: Wow, that's a big chicken. Actually, it's THE Big Chicken.

11/9/02: Marietta Square; like a walk back in time.

11/13/02: Autumn sun.

11/17/02: Giving thanks.

11/21/02: Fall colors.
