Santa Cruz is a good place to get away to on the weekends. It can be kind of crowded along the boardwalk, but that can also make it fun. It's not too far south of San Francisco and it's warmer and has better beaches.

I didn't get a chance to ride the gondolas this time.
The waves started to get pretty crazy about 5 minutes after this picture was taken. I ended up getting wet up to my thighs. Oh well, the weather was warm enough that I dried off pretty quickly.
