Leonland - Leon Barnard
Chapter 2 > Rotterdam
I'd been in The Netherlands for over 2 months, so I figured it was about time for me to visit the second largest city. It was more like a major American city than any other place I've been here. Unfortunately the weather wasn't very cooperative, but I got a nice taste of the city and I plan to go back.
Skyscrapers, something you don't see much of in The Netherlands.
The World Trade Center in the city center.
The Erasmus bridge, also known as The Swan.
Erasmus University. The rounded windows and off-white color give it a somewhat futuristic, 2001-esque look.

I love it when large, metropolitan cities also have large parks. Rotterdam has quite a bit of park area, here's part of it.
The Euromast, which offers a great view of the city at 607 feet up even on a cloudy day.
The Erasmus bridge and south Rotterdam from the Euromast.
The north-west corner of Rotterdam.
Downtown Rotterdam on a dreary saturday. Most of the city was destroyed in World War II, which is why it looks so modern.
