I was recently sent to West Memphis, Arkansas for work. It's not the most happening place in the country, but it is just across the Mississippi River from Memphis, Tennessee, which is pretty cool. I only got a chance to visit downtown Memphis one evening, but it was jumpin'. There was great blues music pouring out of every restaurant.
A bridge that crosses the Mississippi to get to Memphis from Arkansas.
Beale Street was really cool, that's where all the action was.

No trip to Memphis would be complete without seeing insane amounts of Elvis merchandise. There's no question, The King is very much alive in Memphis.
