Leonland - Leon Barnard
Chapter 2 > Madurodam miniature village
What a strange and wonderful place this is. It's a whole park full of miniature 1:25 scale replicas of various places all over Holland. It was really incredible.
There are windmills of all sizes in Holland.
I really should have spent the $1.25 to buy the program so that I'd know what and where this was.
We drove over this bridge to get there.
I'm so Dutch.

They really captured all of the different flavors of the country.
This might have been my favorite part, that's where I work! I sit just inside that section to the left of the entrance. It's a pretty accurate model.
Again, I don't know what or where this is, but I'd like to visit the real one.
Thank goodness the little fire boat came along, otherwise that oil tanker might have been in trouble.
Every country needs its own airport.
The Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. It looks big even on this scale.
Sections of central Amsterdam.

I visited this miniature village last week.
I was really amazed!!
As an Engineer, I could appreciate the details and accuracy.
They even had most models working.
I will take my kids there if life gives me another chance.
