Leonland - Leon Barnard
Chapter 2 > Koblenz, Germany
I went to visit a friend of mine from home and to see the "Rhine in Flames" festival. The company was good and the weather was ideal. It was a great weekend trip.
A nice church.
Another nice church.
The Mosel river, just before it joins with the Rhine.
Ok, this picture and the next are actually the same picture, but I wasn't sure what cropping I liked better, so I put them both up. Feel free to email me and tell me which one you like better. Maybe I'll pick one if I get enough feedback.
Here's a giant statue of Kaiser Wilhelm.
And here it is lit up at night.
Another cool, overpowering statue.
They had a concert for the festival which was neat. The bands weren't so great, but the atmosphere was cool.
Like I said, the concert wasn't that great, but I think that this picture makes it look pretty cool.
Kaiser Wilhelm is ready to rock.
The best part of the festival. They launched fireworks from the castle just across the Rhine.
Me and my friend Sarah eating Spaghetti ice cream. Mmm, it was tasty.
It really did look like spaghetti. It was amazing.
A castle in the clouds at the top of a cool fountain.
