Leonland - Leon Barnard

Chapter 4 > Hazleton, PA

Hazleton is a small town in Pennsylvania about 130 miles west of New York City. This was a good work project for me because it was close enough for me to drive to. I spent about 4 weeks here over a 6 or 7 week time period. It was nice to be able to go back and forth easily and I enjoyed having some time off during the project.

I faced the freeway the first week that I was there. It wasn't as nice as the view from the opposite side of the hotel, but it was still pretty when big trucks weren't driving along the freeway.

The hotel I stayed in overlooks a large valley that's very serene. I faced this way during my second week there.

A closer view of one of the communities in the valley.

A nice sunset view from the hotel.

Another nice sunset, this one from near where I was working.

There were a couple of unbelievably foggy days while I was there. It made driving very difficult.
