Chapter 2 > "Getting There"

They say that getting there is half the fun and I believe that it is. Here are pictures from the past few weeks that relate more to the journey than the destination.

I always keep my eyes open and my camera ready when I'm a passenger, you never know what might pass by your window. Here's a wacky sculpture that I photographed from the bus on the way to Eindhoven.

Something I still can't quite explain that I shot on the way to Amsterdam.

A very common, and calming sight for me on the weekends. This was on the train back from Amsterdam.

You can try all you like, but you won't be able to pronounce the name of this city correctly unless you're Dutch. This is the train station I depart from the most.

train.jpg
Another common sight for me, the yellow and blue of the Dutch trains.

Traveling by train and bus isn't always the most efficient way to go, but I don't mind. Here's a picture that I took of Saint John's Cathedral on a walk around Den Bosch while I was waiting for my bus.

Here's one way of getting there.

And here's another way. I think a car this size would get run over by an S.U.V. in about 5 minutes in the U.S.

carsign.jpg
One way not to get there. Cars don't float. I wonder how many people have said 'boy, I'm sure glad that sign was there, otherwise I would've tried to drive straight to the other side.'
