Leonland - Leon Barnard

Chapter 1 > Germany

The first stop on a 2 week European tour with my Dad. We went to Stuttgart and Berlin, both were fascinating.

A really old church in Stuttgart.

There's a giant park in Stuttgart with a large games area in the middle.

More elderly Germans enjoying themselves.

The Porche factory in Zuffenhausen, just outside of Stuttgart. We got a really rad tour here.

A giant monument in the center of Berlin to show their power.

Part of the longest remaining section of the Berlin Wall, it's about 500 feet long.

A close-up of another part of what's left of the Wall.

I am leaving the American Sector.

There don't seem to be any billboards in Germany, just logos all over the buildings.

One of the most striking scenes in Berlin. The church on the right is just barely standing after being bombed in WWII. The new church is next to it.

Just a fraction of the cranes covering East Berlin as it's being re-built following the fall of Communism.

Here's part of (actually most of) our sleeper car from Berlin to Copenhagen. It was really cool how they crammed everything you need into a small space. We even got room service in the morning.
