Leonland - Leon Barnard

Chapter 6 > Topanga Canyon

I went hiking with my new roommate at Topanga Canyon State Park, near Malibu, CA. It was nice driving up there, a fairly remote area, yet close to the ocean and beach towns. It was a good, 4.5 mile round-trip hike along the Eagle Rock trail, which culminated with a nice view from Eagle Rock.

The trail got pretty steep at times.

Eagle Rock from a distance.

And close up. I think it kind of looks like an eagle from this angle, which is my hypothesis for the origin of its name.

The view from the tip of Eagle Rock.

One of the views on the way down.
