Fourth set of sketches

Again, I was pretty busy, but I managed a few more sketches that put me to my goal of 30 for the month. Here are my final ones. I was hoping that these would be my best ones, but I think I didn't really take my time with them, so they didn't turn out as well.

Third set of sketches

Not as many last week. I was experimenting with charcoal, which has a bit more feeling than the drawing pencil I was mostly using the week before. I'd like to get back to sketching some people this week, but I'm not sure if I'll have time.

Second set of sketches

Here are some sketches that I did the past week. I decided not to pick my most and least favorites and just post a selection of them instead. I've been trying to focus on people, but it's hard to find good subjects (hence the sleepers in the park).

First sketches

Here are the first of my sketches. I've done about 10 of them so far. I'm fairly happy with most of them, given that I didn't expect much.

My favorite one of the week:

I like this one the most even though it's not very polished.

And my two least favorites:

August goal

I've been putting off choosing a "12 in 12" goal for this month because I couldn't seem to commit to one, but today I decided on something. It's another art project, one that I've been mulling for a while.

Do 30 sketches. Each week post my favorite one and my two least favorites.

The reason that I want to post my bad ones is because I don't want to be afraid of doing bad ones. So, I'm explicitly stating that I will have bad ones. I went to the park and did two sketches today. They were really bad, which shows me how out of practice I am and also how badly I need this project.
